About GetPrompting
Practical AI learning for people who build while they learn.
GetPrompting is where I document practical AI workflows, prompting systems, automation ideas, and tool experiments for real-world work.
Built by Michael Stables
Agile leader, systems thinker, and practical AI experimenter.
The short version
I started GetPrompting because better AI use usually starts with better systems.
By day, I work as an Agile Release Train Engineer. Outside of work, I’m usually experimenting with AI workflows, testing automation ideas, reorganizing Notion for the fifteenth time, or trying to make systems a little less chaotic.
GetPrompting started because I kept running into the same problem: most people do not need more AI tools. They need better ways to use the tools they already have.
At first, I was just experimenting for fun. Testing prompts. Building tiny workflows. Automating repetitive tasks. Breaking things. Rebuilding them better.
Then people started asking what prompts I used, whether certain tools were worth it, and how I was organizing everything. So I built GetPrompting as a place to document what I’m learning, what’s working, and how AI can fit into real workflows without making the process harder than the problem.

The goal
Help people stop overthinking AI and start building practical systems.
I’m building GetPrompting as a long-term resource for people who want to work smarter with AI without losing their own judgment, creativity, or voice in the process.
Sometimes that looks like a simple prompt tutorial. Sometimes it turns into a full workflow system or automation experiment. Either way, the goal stays the same: make AI easier to use in work that actually matters.

A few useful details.
Who runs GetPrompting?
GetPrompting is run by me, Michael. I write the posts, test the tools, and document the workflows.
What is the site focused on?
Prompting, AI workflows, automation, productivity systems, and real-world experimentation with AI tools.
Do I use affiliate links?
Sometimes. I only recommend tools I’ve personally tested or actively use in my own workflows.
Choose the right system
Plan the workflow, or run the content process.
The Notion Command Center helps you plan and document AI workflow ideas. The Creator Workflow System runs a connected content production process in n8n.
